Prodigal is a ’80s style hard rock and metal band from Arizona.
Prodigal started off in 2018 with ex-Amethyst lead singer Mark Fekete and ex-White Foxx/ex-Chasen guitarist Jim Maropoulos, having a vision to create music in the style of ‘80s metal. Jeff LaBar of Cinderella, and Myles Kennedy of Alter Bridge/Slash, are among the past musicians that were once involved in bands with Jim and Mark.
Their vision and goals are to make music that reaches out to a nation that is unaware of God’s Word, and to minister through their genre of music.
Prodigal delivers a message of faith, hope, love, grace, and salvation in the package of strong and passionate ’80s style hard rock/heavy metal with both male and female lead and backing vocals.
Influences: Ozzy, Poison, Dokken, and Ratt, among other ’80s icons in the hard rock/metal scene.
