Dale ‘Hardworking’ Thompson Is At It Again

What can you say about Dale Thompson? Even from the early beginnings of 1983 with his band Matrix with brother Troy, then renamed to Bride in 1986. The band ended up producing 14 full length releases, along with 5 solo projects until they disbanded in 2013.

Dale during that time relocated to New Zealand, which is like a little brother to us Australian born and bred, but anyway took a couple of years off from music until 2016, when a project called The World Will Burn with the album Severity made a return point for Dale.

Since that initial release, 8 projects and 24 full length albums later, the man has released his latest project Not Of This World with their full length Never Forget which has a guest appearance on several tracks by Derek Sherinian (Dream Theater/ Sons of Apollo) on keyboards and organs.

Pre orders will begin with the release on Roxx Records, as the album is scheduled for a September release and you yourselves can continue to follow the journey of Dale Thompson. He has become a good friend to me and the magazine since his comeback, as I’ve also been a fan of Bride all the way back to Kinetic Faith (1991).

Next year in 2023 will mark 40 years for the artist and judging on what he has achieved over the last few years, I’m sure he won’t be slowing down anytime soon.
