Even though deathcore is becoming more of a staple in today’s modern extreme heavy music, there is one band, Cultist, that is creating quite a bit of excitement in Southern California as well as within the rest of the scene. Since originating out of Boston, Massachusetts, by Jon Davenport as a solo project, the group has grown in leaps and bounds.
Things have certainly moved quickly for them – with the relocation, forming a full band, and signing with one of California’s major label giants Facedown Records in July, 2022. The beatdown hardcore act has since released three new singles: “Let Me Feel Everything“, “Hell Of My Design” and “Preacher III“. Facedown Records has also revealed the release date for the band’s label debut, entitled Slow Suicide, scheduled on July. 21st, 2023.
