The Indianapolis-based hard rock and metalcore band Reclaim the Day has announced that Alex Beattie, the band’s long-time drummer, has departed from the band.
Reclaim the Day began in 2019 out of Indianapolis, and slowly began working on material to play live. The band, consisting, at the time, of married couple Becca (ex-A World Apart) and Marcus Sugg on vocals and guitars, respectively, began piecing itself together. The two would later hire Logan Morehouse on bass and Alex Beattie on drums, and began working on new material. The band eventually teamed up with Josiah Prince of Disciple to begin working on a new EP, titled Sentenced to Life. With Beattie’s departure, the band wishes him the best and asks for prayers for him and his family.
The band recently released a new track, titled “Chokehold“, featuring Zahna. Check it out below!
