From the heart of Oneonta, NY, Melting Elements emerges as the passion project and sonic playground of Samuel Judd. Fueled by his spiritual zeal and an unshakable love for the hardcore and metal sounds of the late ‘90s and early 2000s, Judd delivers a raw and unfiltered experience that drips with blood, sweat, conviction, and tears.
Before the release of the full EP, Melting Elements introduced listeners to their sound with the debut single, “Sudden Drop-Off.” A breath of fresh air for those craving something real, the track delivered pure, unpolished energy—no overproduction, no sterile perfection, just raw intensity. Imagine a band jamming in a cramped living room, surrounding a single microphone, and you’ve got a taste of what Melting Elements brings to the table.
Now, with the release of the self-titled EP, that same intensity expands across three tracks, including the aggressive opener “Blink of an Eye” and the powerful closer “Unto the Death.”
This release carries a vibe reminiscent of Rage Against the Machine, while also stirring up memories of The Lead mixed with Blaster the Rocket Man—a potent blend of gritty intensity and underground spirit. Definitely a cool sound that stands out in today’s landscape.
