Upon viewing the announcement on Gary Lenaire’s official music page stating, “We’re back, #Tourniquet,” many individuals responded with curiosity, prompting the question: What does this signify?
Following his return to faith-based metal through the formation of the band Flood alongside lifelong friend and vocalist Guy Ritter, bassist Anna Sentina, guitarist João Miguel, and Extol’s drum machine David Husvik, the group has released two albums: Polarized (2022) and Ripped Into Exile (2024).
During last year’s Immortal Fest Part One in Versailles, Ohio, Gary and Guy, accompanied by Luke Easter, established Stop The Bleeding (STB) as a tribute to their former band, Tourniquet, performing selections from the group’s initial four albums.
Consequently, the inquiry raised by Gary Lenaire’s earlier statement has been addressed, confirming that the incarnation of Stop The Bleeding is now officially recognized as Tourniquet.
