As the year truly advances, Texan metal label Rottweiler Records has announced the signing of Southern Californian thrash metal band Death Protocol as their first signing of 2025.
You may find the name of this group familiar, as its frontman is none other than David Hoyle (aka David Priest), also known to many as The Metal Priest, whose radio show, The Metal Priest Show, is broadcast on the magazine’s radio station (TMO Online Radio) every Saturday night from 9 pm to midnight (PST).
Founded in 2020, Death Protocol has been behind the scenes quietly writing their debut full-length, Demonic Onslaught, which has been three years in the making. The brand new single “Times Change Truth Does Not” is scheduled to debut on tonight’s January 18th episode of The Metal Priest Show.
Producer Adam Castro (Classic Disaster) will be working with Death Protocol on this upcoming recording, which they aim to launch later this summer.
