While flicking through our social media page, we discovered another solo artist entitled Anathoth; a death metal project with metalcore and groove metal influences from Coahuila, Mexico. Only a few short months ago this artist signed with underground label and distributor The Charon Collective.
Mastermind and multi-instrumentalist Nestor Daniel Cuellar Pérez released a debut EP, Eternidad, last February, with lyrics all sung or growled in this instance entirely in Spanish.
“There’s almost no good metal in my language; that’s why I release all my music in Spanish,”
Nestor Daniel Cuellar Pérez
Therefore, what we have learned via his Bandcamp page is that one of his main goals is to provide a form of heavy music for his country – something to listen to in their primary language.
Check out below the second track “Harto” taken from that new five-song EP, which is also accompanied with an official music video.
His new standalone single “It Wasn’t God” is due to drop on June, 2nd, 2024.
