It’s been quite a journey for deathcore band Cultist.
Founding member and vocalist Jon Davenport moved to sunny California a few years back and formed a live performing band for the project that he has been so passionately involved in since its initial incarnation in 2017.
Their signing to Southern California label Facedown Records in July 2022 sparked a broader following and much more exposure. And then came a debut recording entitled Slow Suicide, plus touring the West Coast of the USA with metalcore band Convictions and deathcore group Reminitions – all in the last twelve months.
Since the departure of guitarist Elias Clark just after the new year, it’s just now been confirmed that Nicholas Escobar will be officially taking on guitar duties as they gear up for another tour in July 2024, again with the outfit Reminitions, this time on the East Coast.
